Got a Plumbing Job That
Doesn't Fit Neatly Into a Box?

Not every plumbing problem is a blocked drain, burst pipe or broken hot water system. Sometimes it’s a dripping tap, a leaking fixture, something that needs replacing, or a plumbing problem you just need someone to take a look at.
I handle everyday plumbing repairs, replacements and maintenance across Adelaide’s western and coastal suburbs.
LOCAL FAMILY BUSINESS | Speak directly with Dan | Honest advice and practical solutions

Everyday plumbing problems still need fixing properly.
A small plumbing problem can be annoying for months before it finally gets dealt with. A tap that won’t stop dripping, a shower that isn’t working properly, a leaking connection under the sink, or a fixture that’s simply reached the end of its life.
Some jobs are quick fixes. Others need a little investigation first. Either way, I’ll work out what’s going on, explain what needs doing and fix the actual problem where practical.

General plumbing I can help with
Tap repairs & replacements
Dripping, leaking, stiff or damaged taps, as well as replacing old tapware when you are ready for something new.

Shower plumbing
Problems with shower taps, mixers, connections and other plumbing components affecting how the shower is working.
Leaking fixtures & connections
Water appearing around fittings, flexible hoses, valves or plumbing connections that need attention.
Plumbing fixture replacement
Replacing old or damaged plumbing fixtures and fittings when repair is not practical or you simply want an upgrade.
Water pressure problems
Investigating plumbing-related reasons why water pressure does not seem right and working out what can be done.
Outdoor plumbing
Taps, water connections and general plumbing repairs around outdoor areas.
General plumbing repairs
If it's a plumbing problem and you're not quite sure which service it falls under, give me a call and tell me what's happening.
Repair it or replace it?
Not everything that stops working needs to be replaced.
If a tap, fitting or fixture can be repaired properly and that’s the sensible option, I’ll tell you. If it’s worn out, damaged or you’re likely to keep spending money on it, replacement might make more sense.
And sometimes you simply want something new. That’s fine too.
I’ll explain the options so you can decide what makes sense for your home.
Repair where practical
Fix the existing fitting or fixture when that makes sense.
Replace when it's the better option
Old, damaged or unreliable components may be better replaced.
Planned upgrades welcome
You do not need to wait until something breaks to replace it.

Replacing fixtures and tapware
You don’t have to wait for something to break before calling a plumber.
If you’re updating a kitchen, laundry or bathroom, replacing old tapware, changing a sink or basin fixture, or making smaller plumbing improvements around the house, I can help with the plumbing side of the job.
If you’re buying the fixture yourself, it’s worth checking that it’s suitable for the existing setup before you purchase it. If you’re unsure, ask me first.
Small leaks are still worth fixing
A dripping tap or small leak might not look urgent, but that doesn’t mean it should be ignored indefinitely.
Water around cabinetry, fittings or fixtures can cause damage over time, and a tap that constantly drips is simply wasting water.
If you can see where the leak is coming from, or you know it’s associated with a tap, fixture or connection, that’s usually a general plumbing repair.
If water is appearing somewhere and you can’t work out where it’s coming from, that’s when our Burst Pipe & Water Leak Repairs service may be the better place to start.

Plumbing maintenance before something becomes a problem
Plumbing maintenance doesn’t need to mean having a plumber inspect your house every six months.
Often, it’s simply dealing with worn fittings, small leaks, ageing flexible hoses, troublesome taps or other plumbing issues before they become a bigger inconvenience.
If you’ve got a few small plumbing jobs you’ve been putting off, they can often be looked at during the same visit.
Worn fittings
Deal with components that are beginning to fail.
Ageing flexible hoses
Replace deteriorating hoses before they become a problem.

I'll work out what's causing the problem or what needs to happen for the replacement or installation.
3. I'll explain your options
If there's more than one sensible way to deal with it, I'll explain the difference.
4. I'll do the agreed work
Repair, replacement or maintenance, depending on what the job actually needs.

General Plumbing FAQs
What general plumbing jobs do you do?
I handle everyday residential plumbing repairs, replacements and maintenance including taps, sinks, basins, shower plumbing, leaking fixtures, water connections and other common household plumbing problems. If you’re not sure whether your job fits, give me a call and tell me what’s happening.
Can you fix a dripping or leaking tap?
Yes. Depending on the tap and what’s causing the problem, it may be repairable or replacement may make more sense. I’ll check what’s actually failed before recommending either.
Can you replace taps and other plumbing fixtures?
Yes. I can replace tapware and suitable plumbing fixtures as well as repair existing ones where practical.
Can I buy my own tap or fixture for you to install?
Yes, but it’s worth making sure what you’re buying will work with the existing plumbing and space. If you’re unsure, check with me before purchasing it.
Can you fix low water pressure?
I can investigate plumbing-related causes of poor water pressure and work out what may be contributing to the problem. The solution depends on what is actually causing it.
Can you do several small plumbing jobs in one visit?
Yes. If you’ve got a dripping tap, another fixture that needs attention and a couple of smaller plumbing jobs, let me know when you book so I know what needs looking at.
Do you do bathroom and kitchen plumbing?
Yes, for general plumbing repairs, fixture replacements and smaller plumbing changes. If you’re planning a larger renovation, tell me what the project involves and I’ll let you know whether it’s within the work I take on.
What if I don't know what type of plumber I need?
That’s completely fine. You don’t need to diagnose the problem yourself. Tell me what you’re seeing, hearing or trying to change and I’ll help work out what type of plumbing work is needed.
What areas do you service?
Wakeline Plumbing is based in Taperoo and services Adelaide’s western and coastal suburbs, including Largs Bay, North Haven, Semaphore, Port Adelaide, West Lakes, Henley Beach, Woodville and surrounding areas.
