Gas appliance connections and replacements

Replacing a gas appliance isn’t always as simple as removing the old one and connecting the new one.
The existing connection, pipework and appliance requirements all need to be considered before the new appliance is put into service.
If you’re replacing a cooktop, oven or another gas appliance, I can disconnect the old appliance, assess the existing gas connection and complete the plumbing work required for the new installation where appropriate.
Gas leak testing, pressure testing and appliance troubleshooting
If you can smell gas, an appliance isn’t operating properly or you’re concerned about an existing gas connection, I can investigate the problem and carry out gas leak and pressure testing where required.
I also service and repair suitable residential gas appliances. I’ll explain what I find, what can be repaired and what needs to happen next.
If the issue falls outside the work I do, I’ll tell you rather than turn it into unnecessary work.

What happens when I come out?
1. I look at what you're working with
Whether it's a new appliance, an existing connection or a suspected problem, I'll assess the installation first.
2. I explain the work
If something needs changing, repairing, testing or bringing up to standard, I'll explain it before going ahead.
3. I complete the gas fitting work
